Girl Child

 

In a small dark room; was born a light,

Who was known: to be a girl child,

There were some who smiled; but some cried,

The reason for tears was undefined.

 

Time passed; she turned 10 years old,

Her smile was plastered with gold,

She had dreams in her eyes;

For some reason, she was asked to make no noise.

 

When she turned 15;

Her life had already changed,

A lot was going within her,

She could not show a single frown on her face.

 

Time never sits, she soon turned 20;

Discussions for her marriage were already beginning;

She was taught how to be good wife;

She was not given control on her life.

 

25 as soon as she turned;

She broke through the existing barriers,

She knew if not now,

Then she will have to be mute forever..

 

She accomplished her dream of getting fame,

She made a name,

She knew she had to raise a voice,

To suppress the existing hoarse noise.

 

At the age of 30;

Her life took a turn,

She got the biggest happiness from god,

She was about to become a mom…

 

In the same dark room,

She gave birth to light,

Who too was known:

To be a girl child.

 

She told her daughter,

Her tears are not the weakness; her voice is the power,

She taught her daughter to live,

She said her daughter can be anything;

She can be whatever she wishes to be………………………

I am back with another poem, also if you want me to continue writing more series then comment your opinion. I will be updating blogs since it’s my passion but since my schools are reopening and my exams will be held soon, I hope that you guys cooperate with me and stay tuned.

Life gives us pushes and prompts; indeed

Life does pay us for our deeds,

People may show you the path,

But it is your choice where to lead.

 

It is not always important to win,

Sometimes, you may even learn,

And I think,

That is the most important thing.

 

Life always gives us a second chance,

That doesn’t mean,

You will start from the beginning;

But from where you left, last time.

 

Life will be as hard as rocks,

You take it as a milestone,

Or you take it as a stepping stone,

Do whatever you wish,

Leave no regrets,

CHAPTER 7

TOGETHER EVER AFTER

(END of this series)

 

*Time skip*

*5 years later*

*Graduation hall*

Author POV

All the graduating students are there, as well as a lot of families and friends.

Alex- missy, I mean sister in law *Estella blushed* you look great in this graduation gown

Callesto- only I am allowed to compliment my girl.

Panelo- Someone is jealous, stay away or we will see your grave in this hall.

Callesto-now go finish your ceremony, we will wait here. *yes they have already graduated, you forgot they are her seniors*

Estella- Bye, I will come back in a minute.

Estella *thinking* I sat rat smack dab in the middle with other future doctors of this country.*she smiled at this thought* I lost it when I saw Callesto staring at me, ever since I met him I felt I had fallen in love, I wish he was beside me but he has already graduated and is waiting for me.

After the principal congratulated everyone, the honor students were asked to give a speech. Ten minutes later, Estella was called on stage. She walked across the stage holding the card, shaking hands with the school faculty, however her eyes were still glued on her boyfriend. She then started with her speech.

Estella- I am not sure if I can describe how I am feeling right now, I am happy and puzzled at the same time, this college gave me a way to fulfill my dreams, it gave me the love of my life but what I will cherish my whole life is the immortal friendship it gave me. When I thought of friends, I believed they are there when I cry to wipe my tears, they will laugh with me and what not, I know it is truth but it is a partial truth, someone who is a true friend stands up for you, like they did, they mock at you when you cry just so that you wipe your tears and beat them forgetting your pain. They don’t speak lullabies about friendship but they are there like a wall whenever I need to lean on something, this college gave me the best memories, it gave me teachers like mr. malson, it gave me someone who loves more than I love myself *she looked at Callesto with her tender smile*, but it gave me the best gift that is an immortal friendship. Thank you.

*everyone clapped and cheered for her*

*She went of the stage and hugged Callesto, he almost lifted her from the ground*

Estella- I love you Callesto *she said while looking into his eyes*

*She smiled at him with a hundred words behind her diamond eyes, just as quickly as her hands laced with his, Callesto kissed her. Before she could realise the situation, she was already into it. He was really kissing her and she kissed him back, and the world around them seemed meaningless. Nothing could have possibly meant more than them, the graduation was no more beautiful than this moment: those small hands pressed into his, the way her round eyes fluttered to a close. Her kiss was like the beating of a butterfly’s wings, soft. It was the murmuring, cool breeze of the summer evening; it was fallen asleep to the faint noises of the burrow; it was a red blazing fire, yet gentle, trickling rain until………*

Alex- Estella your graduation cap was there…. *he became silent when he saw them so passionate*

*Estella broke the kiss and Callesto looked at Alex giving him a death glare, as if he wanted to bury him alive*

Callesto- Leave *he said in a death cold voice*

Alex *murmured*- That is a deathly warning.

*Alex left*

Callesto- So shall we…

Estella- Y-yes, let’s go get some pictures clicked *she looked away as she realized her face had flustered like a red tomato*

*They went to get some pictures clicked*

Don’t you have anything else to say, I have to finish this story today

Estella- I know it is never an ending as life does not end, I know we do not live happily ever after as we cannot have a rainbow without a little rain, but life is easy when you have support of friends and loved ones, I always thought, I can do things alone on my own but while I was in this college, I realised that life becomes easy when there are friends with whom you can talk, I became a better version of myself when I was walking on the road to immortal friendship…

Estella- yes coming

Estella- thank you for joining me in this journey where I received the best memories of my life, bye

They were not happy ever after because happiness does not last forever, there were failures in their life as well but they lived together ever after and that gave them the courage to become better with each passing day.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

*After dinner, the other three boys left but Callesto wanted to walk Estella to the dorm safely*

*They were walking silently until Callesto broke the silence*

Callesto – choose me!

Estella- what did you say?? *she sounded carefree*

Callesto- I said, choose me and become there sister in law.

*Estella widened her eyes, she was still confused*

Estella- is this a confession?

Callesto- Yes! Estella I love you! Choose me and become my girlfriend.

*Estella was still shocked, she could not process what had happened*

Estella- please don’t make a joke of pure feelings like love, Callesto. *disappointment could be seen in her eyes*

Callesto- I am not joking Estella, accept me and be my girlfriend. *he passionately looked in her eyes*

Estella- this is too sudden, Callesto I need to think. *she looked away, trying to avoid his eye contact*

*Callesto cupped her cheeks and made her look into his eyes*

Callesto- give me a chance and I promise you won’t regret

Estella- I can’t play bluff with my life. *she removed his hands as a tear escaped her eyes*

*Callesto gently wiped her tears*

*he leaned his forehead on hers*

Callesto- I love you Estella

*Estella knew that she could trust him*

Estella- I love you too Callesto

*Callesto was shook at her sudden reaction*

Callesto- do you really mean it

Estella *smiling through her tears* -yes! I love you a lot

*A big smile crept on his face and he hugged her tight, never letting go*

Callesto- Hey! Leave, you made us fall in love and now you are stopping us to show it

*Time skip* (I am lazy asf and I know)

ON THE PHONE

Callesto- my girlfriend, what are you doing?? *he said in a tender tone*

Estella- I am getting ready, did you forget, we are going to meet in the library.

Callesto- okay wait, I will pick you up.

Estella- but…

*Before she could object, he hung up on the call*

*Estella let out a sigh, she got ready and then left*

*Callesto picked her up and they walked in the library, hand in hand*

Alex- Missy,can you help me with….

*He widened his eyes when he saw them holding hands*

Panelo- close your eyes before they fall from your socket.

Alex- see what I am seeing and you yourself will take your eyes of *Estella chuckled*

Panelo and Leonard – what are my holy eyes seeing *they said while looking at the new couple*

Callesto- stop embarrassing her, it is not the first time you are seeing a girl

Alex- Missy, is it what we are thinking???

*Estella flustered and blushed*

Callesto- you can call her sister in law now

Alex, Panelo and Leonard- Ohhhhhhh, Hello brother and sister in law.

*They had a fun time teasing Estella, after that they left*

*Now it was time for them submit their reports on the psychology of human emotions*

Mr. Malson- its been 1 month, now all the team leaders will read out their reports.

Mr. Malson- Estella it’s your turn now

Estella- What we found out is that, love does not happen on a particular day or in a particular second, you cannot tell the reason for your love, you cannot prove if its true love or fake, love is a feeling that gradually develops in two people when they care for each other, it does not happen in a second, it cultivates gradually, love has no reason, you do not love somebody for any particular trait, love happens when two people except each other just the way they are, love is when you want to become the best of you to match the best of him in your mind. True love can’t be proven by remembering first date or the favorite color, it is true love when you wish to hear his voice when you wake up, true love is when you wish to know if the other person has eaten or not, when a minute of separation seems like centuries, that is true love.

Mr. Malson- Very good Estella

Estella- Sir, there is one thing left

Mr. Malson- Yes please go ahead

Estella- I did not believe in love as I never felt the warmth of a family, but he made be believe that true love exists, thank you for giving me the warmth and love, I love you Callesto.

*Callesto came to her and hugged her lifting her by her waist*

Whole class and teacher- awwwwwwwww……

LET’S BE FRIENDS

*Estella and all four boys are here to discuss the details of the project*

Estella- Let us start by choosing the topic

Panelo- Shall we discuss about anger.

Leonard- No, let’s do pain.

Alex- What about lust.

*All of them made a disgusted face towards Alex’s suggestion*

Callesto and Estella*after some thought*- LOVE

*They looked in each other’s eyes and were mesmerized until*

Alex *fake cough* - ahmm ahmm , so we are preparing our report on love.

Estella- Yes! If no one has any objection then we will start.

Panelo- Okay

Estella- So now everyone will start collecting the books related to love and human emotions, you can also bring some romantic literature.

Panelo, Alex and Leonard- Yes ma’am!! *they saluted like a soldier would do to his commander*

*Estella giggled*

*They started collecting the books*

*Estella wanted to take Romeo and Juliet but the shelf was too high for her*

Author Pov

You are jumping like a rabbit trying to climb the tree

Estella- What are you doing here! Shouldn’t you be completing your homework.

Author POV

I want to but curiosity is killing me, and seeing you with such handsome boys makes me jealous

Estella- Were you not the one who decided the plot and anyways we are just friends.

Author POV

For the three monkeys I know, but do you have the same feeling for Callesto

Estella- Y-YES h-he is also a f-friend, now leave before I kick you out.

Author POV

But your eyes are saying something else

*Estella gave me a death glare so now you will continue with the story, bye bye readers, keep reading*

Callesto- Why are you jumping up and down, do you want all to know that you are a tiny girl.

Estella- Can you not stop calling me tiny, and…

*Estella turned around and was surprised by seeing that they were so close, their faces were almost touching and she unknowingly blushed*

*Callesto helped her take the book*

Callesto- Is this the book you were jumping for???? *he said showing her the book, Romeo and Juliet*

Estella- Y-yes *she was stammering , her heart was racing and wanted to jump out of her body, her cheeks were flustered and she looked like a tomato*

*They went back to the table*

Alex- Missy(they call Estella by this nickname), is this the book you asked for. *he asked without looking at her*

Estella – Y-yes, this will do *she was still nervous you see*

*Panelo looked at her and asked*

Panelo- Missy, why are you so red, are you not feeling well.

*Estella unheard the question*

Leonard *snapping at her*- Are you okay??

Estella- Yes……

*Callesto interrupted her*

Callesto- She is red because she was jumping…

*They looked at him and then at her with a puzzled look*

Estella *thinking* - Wake up! Estella what are you doing.

Alex- Missy! Are we audible to you

Estella- Yes! Now let’s start collecting the material

*They started reading the books, it was almost dinner time now*

Leonard- I am hungry, let’s go and eat in some restaurant.

Alex- Yes, let’s go.

Callesto- Estella, you will also join us?? *he was asking but it seemed like he was ordering*

Estella- No need, I am not hungry.

*Estella stomach made some noise, selling her out*

Panelo- but your stomach seems very hungry *they giggle*

Estella- Okay *she smiled, but she was embarrassed*

*They walked to the restaurant*

*After a fulfilling meal, they left and were strolling*

Alex- Actually, before you I had many girlfriends but no female friend.

Estella- Really! But may I know how many girlfriends you had.

Alex- How about we change to another topic?

*they all laughed out loud*

Panelo- Missy, how about you choose one boy from us four and become are sister in law.

Estella- No need, I am happy being a friend.

*Estella was about to go to her dorm but*

Callesto- Wait! Let me walk you to the dorm, it is dangerous for you alone.

Leonard- It would be more dangerous for her with you.

Callesto- Shut up! *he indicated them to leave*

*The other three left*

*They were walking silently until Callesto broke the silence*

Callesto – choose me!

CHAPTER 4

RESCUING AN ENEMY

Mr. Malson- So next week we have a group project, you have to prepare a report on any human emotion for psychological study, faith etc… which will comprise 15 marks in your annuals.

Alex- Sir, can I skip this, anyway I won’t pass.

Mr. Malson - Keep your mouth shut and listen to my instructions even if you are the college playboy.

Alex *keeping his right leg on left one*- Okay, continue.

Mr. Malson - So as I was saying, it is compulsory for everyone to participate and every group must have 5 members and it must be co-ed that is both boys and…

Callesto- We understand the meaning of co-ed now continue.

Mr. Malson - So now I will select team leaders …and Estella. *I am sorry but I am very bad at thinking of new names*

*everyone chose the names and Estella was left to choose the demon princes’*

* Estella went near Mr. Malson and whispered*

Estella- Sir! You succeeded.

Mr. Malson- You came to know about it.

Estella- how would I not know? But sir you tricked me very well

Mr. Malson- You are smart and that is why I chose you, I know you are the only one who can make them work.

*Estella chuckled and went back to her seat*

*Time skip*

*College ended and now Estella is working at the café *

*she was working peacefully but that did not last long*

*the bell rang, indicating new customers*

Estella *sweetly smiling* - Welcome to our café

Alex- Nice to meet you again beautiful

*Estella did not respond*

*The four boys sat on the table*

*Estella went to the table*

Estella *forcefully smiling*- What would you like to order sir.

Callesto- 1 Espresso

Leonard and Panelo- 2 latte

Alex-1 Iced Americano

Estella- 1 espresso, 2 latte and 1 iced Americano. Anything else sir.

Callesto- Nothing else, now go to hell.

Estella- Leaving sir, hope to see you there soon.

Panelo- Where?????????

Estella- in hell

*Estella left and started preparing there orders*

*Estella came a few moments later*

Estella- Your order. *she fake smiled and was about to leave but suddenly*

Callesto *breathing heavily*- Did you add cocoa.

Estella *looking at him confused*- Yes, I did, isn’t it beautiful.

Panelo- But why?? Do you want to kill him? *shouting at Estella*

Estella- Why are you shouting in a public café?

Leonard- He is allergic to cocoa goddamit *He shouted at her and the environment became intense*

Alex- Now what should we do.

Estella- Back off

Panelo, Leonard and Alex- What?? Are you a doctor??

Estella- No I am not but I know the treatment. Now back off and don’t crowd him. I will be back in a moment.

 *Estella ran to the kitchen and came back holding some a glass of water and a pill in her hand*

Estella- Quickly drink it

Callesto – Call the doctor, I will not take anything from her hand.

Estella- Take it before you die.

*Callesto looked in her eyes*

Estella- Trust me

*For some reason Callesto wanted to believe her, even if it was for a moment, he knew that he could trust her*

*Callesto drank from glass and he started to feel better*

*Everyone was silent and calm but someone broke the silence*

Alex- What did you made him drink?????

Estella *jokingly* - Poison

Panelo- How could you take revenge like this.

Estella- My wish

*They were about to fight but Callesto spoke*

Callesto- It was not poison, it was my pill.

Alex- But how can she have your pill???

Leonard- Were you spying on him and now you wanted to be a savior

Estella- I do not wish to be a savior for useless people and you are talking about spying. *she chuckled*

Callesto- Then how do you have my pill?? Don’t tell me you keep it in your first aid kit.

Estella- Why would I keep pills for rare disease in my first aid? For you?? *she raised her eyebrow in a mock*

Panelo- Then why do you keep it

Estella- That is because I have the same allergy, see I did not add cocoa in my coffee.

Callesto- But then why did you add cocoa in my espresso.

Estella- It is a publicity act of this café and you did not inform me about your allergy so how would I know.

*Estella and the four boys chit-chatted in the café for hours after Estella completed her shift*

*It seemed as if they knew each other for years*

*they were about to leave when Estella stopped Callesto and said*

Estella *with a smile*- Come here more often.

*Callesto smiled back at her and nodded*

*After they left, Callesto kept smiling on the way back*

Alex- Brother Panelo, could it be that Estella likes me. *he wanted to tease Callesto, as he knew he had a crush on Estella*

Panelo- Maybe, she was smiling a lot today.

Alex- What if something happens between us, ahhhhh ah I am so excited. *he said with a teasing smile*(*imagine yourself teasing your friend by there crush* *the satisfaction* )

Callesto *smirk* - even if something happens, it will not have anything to do with you.

All in one voice- OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
