Here I am, back with another poem.
The suggestion for this poem was by one of my friend and
follower.

First of all, thank you for this wonderful suggestion. I
really enjoyed writing this poem. So the topic was- what do you think about
exams, from the perspective of a student.
Matter of fact my exams are starting from the last week of
September, so I thought why not give it a try…
Also I will be taking a break from my blog post, instagram
and other social media handles so that I can concentrate solely on my studies…
tips on taking a break from social media will be my last post before I take a
break until my exams are over… but I will still be active for now… hope you
guys understand.
Now let’s jump to the poem:
Exams- my
perspective
Here I am,
Holding a pen,
The exam paper is in front of me,
I don’t wish to attempt it;
But for some reason it’s- COMPULSORY.
15 minutes is the reading time allotted,
I am sitting on this chair,
Or rather stuck; to be precise,
I had studied everything,
But everything just vanished from my mind.
The teacher is checking all the tables,
“No cheating” is written in bold,
I know that study is gold,
But are exams the only way,
To achieve our goals?
I am anxious,
I am nervous,
I am stuck in the aisle,
Are exams really helpful?
Or just mental pressure?
Past is a story,
Present is the book,
Future is a question paper,
But was I asked if I want to solve it?
The bell will ring in some time,
Our pens will start a race,
Some hands will be early,
While some will lag the pace
Is this what we call EXAM?
Everything will seem beautiful,
Once the paper is handed it,
Exams are a part of childhood,
Nightmare or daydream;
Choice is up to you.
It’s the way we look at things,
What matters are the efforts,
Not the grades;
The world will look at you with expectations
But you need to believe in you.
Exams are a phase of life,
Take it positively,
These moments come rarely,
Live it fully…
Tring…tring…tring…tring
And the bell rings,
The only thing the teacher has to say,
“Students! Be careful while writing! ”
But is this how exams are meant to be…

masterpiece but I have worked on my poetry and vocab building skills.
